Easy to apply. Apply enough and it feels creamy on the lips while looking matte. I did not use any lipliner. Looks great, pigmented color. I had to apply again after eating since the middle of my lips showed my natural lips underneath. Other than that, the color stays!! I bought a CoverGirl top coat and put it as a base instead which is why it is glossy but it is a moisturizing matte lipstick so I don't think a base coat is necessary. I purchased to try out different shades of matte lip colors, with hopes to find a perfect lip color. I love the fact that these come with the matching lip liners. With it being a lipstick, I imagined it would go on a little smoother, but not a big issue. I recommend a lip primer to fix that. Lip liner goes on smoothly. Not as long lasting as I'd hoped, but great value for the money.

The black goes on perfectly and stays through the most. The only reason it doesn’t stay on my inner lip for too long is because I have braces and they scrape everything they touch. The blue is also pretty incredible! The purple requires a second layer and it’s a pretty dark purple. The only complaint I have is it’s too good lol it’s very difficult to remove!
