1. Part your
hair into five sections, separating each one with a hair tie. (I have A LOT of hair, so if you have thick, wild hair like myself, smaller sections are the key.)
2. Next, let down one of the sections and grab a smaller piece from that section and roll your hair into the rod. This is when I add in the water and silkening gloss.
3. Roll your hair until you reach the scalp.
4. Fold the remaining end of the rod in half and repeat these four steps until each section is completed. I used a total of 42 flexi-rods that were 9-16 in long.
When all of your sections are rolled, this is how it should look.
Having fun yet?
Next, you want to give your hair at least 4-6 hours to dry.
1. When your hair is completely dry, unbend the rod and start unrolling your hair from the top.
2. As you unroll the rod away from your hair with one hand, use the other hand to hold your hair so that you don't
loose the curl.
3. This is how each curl should look after you take down the rods.
After removing all the flexi-rods, We did notice, (like Curlformers), these have a tendency to create more of a Shirley Temple curl (which is cute if you're going for that look), but We are more of the "I need massive volume / Chaka Khan type", so I used my fingers to separate each
curl and lift my roots.
