No matter what type of peruvian hair weave you buy, they all have a limited amount of time that they are proposed to last. Have you ever been in bind and you really need to get your weave done; but you really didn’t have enough to pay for a new install and new hair? Most people decide this is the time to go out and buy new hair, but there are a few methods I use to transform old damaged peruvian hair weave into silky, lustrous peruvian weave hair.
Virgin human weave hair is an investment. So we must reuse our weave hair. Here’s a way to bring your weave back to life and prep it for your next install, extending the lifetime of your weave while saving you some coins. You can revive even the most lifeless of weaves. You can read on such tips, here’s how to revive your weave.
Firstly brush out the hair and start applying the relaxer from the weft to the roots or vice versa any one that works for you it still works the same way. Just like your own hair, before styling, you want to be sure to detangle it first.Use your hand to detangle the weave first to get rid of those silly knots and then follow with a wide tooth comb or brush. Be careful to comb from the ends of the hair towards the weft so you don’t rip out the strands from the weft.It may be daunting or even difficult, but it must be done. You can’t wash it or comb through it all the way without detangling it first. Depending on how tangled and matted it is, you can add some conditioner as you detangle to loosen it up and provide slip. Also, it’s important to detangle the hair while it’s dry so do not add water yet but if the situation is really bad, you can use a little conditioner to provide a bit of slip up to make detangling easier.
Roll up the hair in the same way it was bought (ie with all the wefts together) and put in a bucket or bowl of warm water with the weft part facing up.Add moisturizing shampoo and rub gently into hair. Do NOT wash your hair like a pair of jeans as that will only make it more tangled. Rinse hair and gently squeeze out any excess water. When you wash your hair bundles with closure, you should use nourishing shampoo to refresh weave Select a suitable nourishing shampoo.Use warm water to wet hair.Squirt a dime-sized amount of shampoo into your hands.Apply the shampoo into the weave, and gently massage it to create leather.Apply your deep conditioner generously and put hair in a plastic bag. Let it sit for 20-30mins or better still, let it sit overnight to achieve maximum conditioning (I personally prefer doing this) Rinse hair with lukewarm water and pat dry with a clean towel. Use your leave-in conditioner and hang to air dry. You can use a blow dryer (on low heat) if you must.
Whether the natural hair weave is installed or not, you can allow the hair to air dry. If the hair is installed, you do want to make sure the braids underneath are completely dry, so you can sit under the dryer for a bit.Once the hair is washed, conditioned, and dried, your hair should look and feel revitalized! It is ready for another install, or to be kept in a few weeks longer.
If you want to switch up the look of your hair, you can achieve curls with the use of rollers or get the straight look with a flat iron. Make sure to use a heat protectant first before applying heat to your human hair.Once the hair is washed, conditioned, and dried, your hair should look and feel revitalized! It is ready for another install, or to be kept in a few weeks longer. If you want to keep your extensions looking fresh and ready to install for the perfect hairstyle at any time you want, it's important to store them properly. Before you store your extensions, be sure that they are thoroughly dry. If they are still wet when put into a case, your hair tends to grow mold, especially the human hair weave. After the hair is dried, gently put it in a plastic bag or storage container. Keep them in a safe area that the wet can't reach.
